4th Annual Imperial Classic

4th Annual Imperial Classic Delivers a Great Day of Racing

2/1/09 - Olympian Sarah Hammer (Hawk Relay) showed off Imperial Valley radishes from the podium at the 4th Annual Imperial Classic, Saturday January 31, 2009 after winning the women's race. Nicole Brandt (CA Pools Racing) and Rachel Herring (Team Alliance Environmental) filled out the rest of the Women's Pro 1-2 podium.  Norm Carter (Team Redlands) won both the 30+ Elimination race and the Pro 1-2 Crit.

Race announcer, Ralph Elliot of MGE Racing commented, “This race is a hidden gem. Even at big races, cities don't put up cycling banners on the lamp posts and repave a street just for cyclists.” Ideal weather, live music in the park, and a supportive community event made for satisfied racers.   Full Results
